BARIATRICS - 3rd - 4th September 2024
This component of the EMMP includes a clinical immersion in theatre, with facilitation of procedural case and practice observation with Dr George Hopkins.
The course will provide in-person, and telementoring, experience in the theatre and in the practice of the faculty, enabling critical discussion and authentic mentorship.
COLORECTAL - 17th - 18th September 2024
During this preceptorship, attendees will observe live cases over the two days involving laparoscopic CR surgery with Dr Nigel Barwood and robotic CR surgery with Dr Abraham Jacob. The course is held at St John of God Hospital Murdoch in Perth.
The Perth CSC is currently only open to in-person attendees, but we are currently exploring the opportunity to open this to telementoring attendees in the near future.
BARIATRICS - 28th - 29th September 2024
This component of the EMMP includes a clinical immersion in theatre, with facilitation of procedural case and practice observation with Dr Ahmad Aly.
The course will provide in-person, and telementoring, experience in the theatre and in the practice of the faculty, enabling critical discussion and authentic mentorship.
COLORECTAL - 29th - 31st October 2024
During this preceptorship, attendees will observe live complex exenteration and peritonectomy cases. Delegates will also attend multi-disciplinary team meetings for ongoing exenteration and peritonectomy patients to gain insights into the management of these extremely complex patients.
Various faculty members will also give presentations during the day to provide further opportunity for discussion. The course is held at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney.

BARIATRICS - 26th - 27th November 2024
This course is aimed at Surgeons who are interested in developing their bariatric practice, with a focus on increasing skills and knowledge in sleeve gastrectomy & revisional procedures.
Delegates will observe live cases St Vincent's Northside Private Hospital and have time in Dr George Hopkins's practice.
